Savannah, Georgia / Fountain at Forsyth Park

It all started with summer plans to meet family in Hilton Head Island for a 4th of July beach trip. Knowing they had to fly into Savannah, Greg suggested going early to enjoy the town as he had never been and Abbi had only visited prior for a quick day trip. Excited to show Greg Savannah, Abbi booked the hotel and dinner reservations right away all while he started secretly planning a proposal in a town he had never visited.

The first night was lovely - amazing food, great cocktails and perfect weather all while Greg was doing his best to keep his composure. Friday morning came quickly, and Greg adamantly reminded Abbi to get moving as he had plans to tour the city via a Citroën vintage car and insisted, they couldn’t be late. For a man who doesn't usually like photos, he said this would be a great opportunity and suggested “let’s get dressed up”. Fun loving Abbi went along with it, no questions asked, as she was excited to enjoy the full day in Savannah!

Headed out to Forsyth Park, a fellow hotel patron in the elevator said “Wow! Y’all look like you’re headed to a great cocktail party!” Abbi smiled while Greg laughed and quickly exited the elevator as not to be late.

While Abbi was looking for the Citroën, Greg was laser focused on his plan lining up perfectly. As he walked her in front of the beautiful green fountain, he turned her around and swiftly dropped to one knee! Sweet words were said, followed by a fast, excited YES! Right as Abbi said, “I wish someone would have taken our photo”, Greg then pointed to the photographer hiding behind a nearby shrub.

An engagement shoot followed nearby and yes, an actual tour around historic Savannah via the Citroën. The fun continued as we drank champagne and celebrated all through the night!

The next day, as planned, Abbi’s parents met for brunch, and they all headed to Hilton Head to continue the celebration during the Holiday week with family!
